Slowing Down The Ageing Process


Now that’s a headline that will grab a lot of peoples attention.

Are we going to go ahead and spout off about the newest fad, the newest supplement or some kind of face massaging gizmo!?

Well, no, that’s not really our thing. We want to talk about something a little more proven, a little more well known….

Antioxidants ….

Now there are a few theories on ageing, but one that is well accepted is the concept of oxidation.

If you imagine taking an apple and cutting it in half, then leaving it on the side, why happens?

It turns brown. This the process of oxidation, the cells are turning brown due to oxidative damage to the cells of the Apple.

Now take the same process but this time squeeze fresh lemon on to the apple. What happens? The lemon protects the apples cells from damage and it stays fresh. This is due to the anti oxidant contained within the lemon.

See where we’re going with this?


From an anti ageing point of view the more anti oxidant rich foods you eat the better.
This can help to combat the oxidative damage caused by stress, pollution and a modern day lifestyle.
